Data protection

As a company, we take the protection of personal data very seriously. We want you to know when we are storing your data, what data we are storing and how we are using it. In processing your personal data we are guided by the provisions of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the new German Federal Data Protection Act (Bundesdatenschutzgesetz, BDSG).

Data protection information on the processing of personal data pursuant to Art. 13 DSGVO in connection with the transparency requirement pursuant to Art. 12ff DSGVO

As of 25 May 2018, the EU General Data Protection Regulation will apply. We would like to inform you comprehensively about the processing of personal data and have therefore updated our privacy policy with the help of a external data protection officer.

Usage data

In principle, using our internet site does not require you to disclose any personal data. Each time one of our pages is accessed, data relating to your visit is stored on the site in a log file. Our web host makes log files available to us, along with usage statistics it prepares for us. Such data is not specific to the person, and we are therefore not able to identify which users have retrieved which data. We do not pass on data to third parties. Please note that transmission of data over the internet (e.g. email communications) may not be fully secure. It is not possible to safeguard data completely against being accessed by third parties.

Contact information

In some cases, we will require personal information from you in order to provide you with certain offers and services. The information you provide voluntarily in these cases, such as information provided by email, will only be used by us for the purpose you have specified, for example to contact you. We do not pass on data to third parties.

Rights of data subjects

Under Article 15 et seq. GDPR, data subjects have the right to obtain information about, correct, erase, restrict or object to the processing of data concerning them. Article 13 paragraph 2 letter c GDPR also provides that where such processing is based on GDPR Article 6 para. 1 a or Article 9 para. 2 a, data subjects have the right to withdraw consent to the processing of their personal data with future effect. This does not affect the lawfulness of processing based on consent before its withdrawal. However, withdrawal of consent or failure to provide the requisite data will generally mean that it is not possible to fulfil the purpose for which the data was being collected. These rights must be exercised in writing.

To do so, please contact us by email at privacypolicy@actech.de.

Deletion of personal data

Personal data is deleted if the purpose for which it was stored no longer applies and there is no legal requirement (e.g. statutory retention period) for the data to be retained. The provisions of GDPR Article 17 apply, in conjunction with § 35 BDSG. If deletion is not possible for legal, contractual, commercial or tax reasons, the data subject may request that processing of such data be restricted. This right must be exercised in writing.

Data subject’s right to data portability

The company guarantees the right to data portability set out in Article 20 GDPR. All data subjects have the right to receive a copy of their personal data in a normal, machine-readable file format.
